New to the menu and not sure where to start? Here’s how the three most common categories compare.
Flower
The classic option — ground and smoked in a joint, pipe, or bong. Effects come on fast (minutes) and are easy to titrate, since you can stop whenever you’ve had enough.
Vapes
Vape cartridges and all-in-ones heat concentrated oil rather than burning plant material. Effects onset is similarly fast to flower, with less smell and no ash or rolling required — a common choice for discretion and convenience.
Edibles
Gummies, chocolates, and drinks are processed through the digestive system, so onset is much slower — often 30 minutes to 2 hours — but effects tend to last longer once they hit. The #1 beginner mistake is taking more before the first dose has kicked in. Start low (5-10mg THC) and wait at least two hours before considering more.
Bottom line
If you want fast, controllable effects: flower or vapes. If you want longer-lasting effects and don’t mind waiting: edibles, dosed carefully.
